New 'Tiger Woods' game: All the fun without the divots

Grade: B+

Video Game » Thanks to the more sensitive Wii MotionPlus add-on for the Nintendo controller, which better simulates real-world movement in games, you can be just as clumsy on the virtual links as the real ones in "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10." Though it's on all the other gaming platforms, the Wii version allows players to swing the club like the real thing and play on 27 authentic courses.

Though it adds more realism to the swing, including fades and draws, the game is still more forgiving and not as frustrating as "Grand Slam Tennis," EA Sports' other title that uses the $20 MotionPlus add-on (and if you want to dial down the realism, you can play the game without the MotionPlus).

"Tiger Woods" on the Wii may not look as gorgeous or lush as the versions on other platforms, but it's the closest to simulating golf without tearing up the living-room carpet.
